We're looking for 25 parents to help shape Real Kids.

25 families. One generation.
When Real Kids launches, it will look the way these 25 families developed it together.
21:14
Your child is in their room, texting.
You hear the phone buzz. Then laughing.
And for a moment you're just happy.
Then the thought arrives.
But with whom?
You could go and check.
But you don't want to.
Trust is part of growing up.
Blind trust shouldn't be the price of admission.
That's why Real Kids is being built.

„I have three children — eight, seven and a baby. I ask myself that question almost every evening.“
Marvin · father of three
Sound familiar?
You know the name.
You know the profile picture.
You don't know the human.
And nobody ever had to prove they were real.
- A phone in fifth grade — because everyone else has one.
- The class group chat where someone suddenly gets torn apart.
- The new contact who takes such a striking interest in your child.
- The game where complete strangers get to join the conversation.
- The video your child saw and doesn't tell you about.
And you sit there knowing: I can't read all of it. And I don't want to.
An adult can claim to be 11
A date of birth from a dropdown — that's all any platform asks. Who is really on the other end, nobody knows. Not even your child. That's exactly what the wrong people rely on.
And no platform is going to change that
A real age check would cost them users. So it stays a dropdown — and has for fifteen years. Waiting for this to fix itself is not a strategy.
And now AI on top
Voices, faces, entire personalities can be generated. How is a child supposed to tell what's real — when adults barely can?
And you're expected to handle all of it alone — with screen-time rules and gut instinct.
Until now there were two options
Ban it. Or look away.
We're building the third
Your child can do everything. Because there is nobody there you'd need to protect them from.
No reading along. No surveillance. No bans that turn you into the parent who always says no. Safety here doesn't come from control — it comes from who gets in at all.
The promise
Here a child meets
only children.
No „probably“. No „mostly“. No „as far as we know“.
Because every human has to prove they're real once, with their actual face — before they're let in at all.
WeAreReal Kids
What that means for you.
Every person here proves once, with their actual living face, that they are a real human — before they get in at all. The kids' space sits on top of that, and only verified children enter it. A 43-year-old cannot sign up as an eleven-year-old. There is no way in without a face.
At last you know there really are children in there.
Every person proves once, with their real face, that they're a human. No photo, no avatar, no bot. We call it Proof of Human.
No 43-year-old can sign up as an eleven-year-old.
The kids' space is separate. Whoever is in there is verified a child — no „supposedly 11“, no birthday from a dropdown.
You're never left outside.
Your child's account is tied to yours — without you it doesn't exist at all. You never have to snoop to stay informed.
Nothing here is built to keep your child hooked.
No ads, no endless feed, no algorithm optimising for time spent. Your child leaves when they want to leave.
Honestly: none of this is finished. Real Kids is being built right now — and how strictly these rules end up working is exactly what we want to decide together with 25 parents — not alone in an office.
Your role
You're not testing.
You're deciding.
Co-creating here doesn't mean a feedback form. As one of 25 families you sit at the table where things get decided. Here's what you get — and here's what we expect from you.
A monthly parents' round
Once a month, live on video with Marvin and the team. Not a webinar — a round where you do the talking.
You help set the rules
From what age? Which chat hours? What can parents see — and what stays private? We decide exactly these questions together.
You see everything first
Every new feature lands with you before any other child ever sees it.
Your child tests along
Supervised, voluntary and stoppable at any time. You decide whether and how much your child takes part.
A direct line
Your own group with the team. No support queue, no ticket number.
Your name belongs to it
The first 25 parents are named in Real Kids. Because you helped build it.
What it costs you
About one hour a month. And your honest opinion — including the uncomfortable kind.
That's all we ask. But any less isn't enough — otherwise it's 25 names on a list instead of 25 parents actually building this.
Are you one of the
25?
We'd rather have 25 parents who really take part than 500 who watch.
You fit if…
- …you have children between 6 and 14.
- …you'd rather have a say than complain afterwards.
- …you genuinely have one hour a month to give.
- …you speak up when something doesn't sit right with you.
- …you want to be early, even though nothing is finished yet.
Better not if…
- …you want a finished app that simply works.
- …you have no time for the monthly round.
- …you don't care how the rules end up.
- …you just want to watch and see if it works out.
That's not a no forever — Real Kids is coming for everyone. You'd simply wait until it's finished.
The way in —
no fine print.
You sign up
Free, with your email — takes less than two minutes.
You prove you're real — free
Show your real face once, that's it. Costs nothing, takes under a minute — and then you see for yourself who's in here.
Take your spot
Only now, once you've seen what you're joining: the membership. It is your spot among the 25 — and the reason nobody can run ads here.
Build Real Kids
You join the round of the first 25: your own group, the first build, the first decisions.
The first two steps are free. You see who is in here, you see how the human check works, you see what we're building — and only then do you decide whether you want one of the 25 spots.
The uncomfortable question
Why does a place for children cost money?
Because otherwise your child is the price.
Every free platform for children has to make money somewhere. Not from the child — with the child: with their attention, their data, their screen time. That's not an accusation. That's simply the business model.
Free platform
- ✕Ads pay the bills
- ✕Your child's attention gets sold
- ✕The feed is built to hold on
- ✕Data is the currency
- ✕You are not the customer
Carried by members
- We pay the bills
- Nobody can buy your child's attention
- No endless feed
- Data is never traded
- You are the customer — you're the only one we answer to
Your membership isn't the price of an app. It's the reason your child isn't a product here.
What your membership contains
And you see all of it before you pay anything. Sign-up and the human check are free. Only then does the question of your spot come up.
With your child's data,
nothing happens here.

Why I'm building this
I can't ban my children from the internet.
So I'm building them a different one.
I have three children: eight years old, seven years old — and a baby.
The older two are exactly at the age where it starts. Roblox, TikTok, Discord, Snapchat. Everyone talks about it at school, and sooner or later one of them stands in the kitchen asking why they're the only one who isn't allowed.
I don't want that. Not because I'm afraid of screens — but because I know who is waiting for children in there.
The tactic is called love bombing
An adult floods a child with attention: compliments, hours of listening, small gifts inside the game. He's the only one who really gets them. Until the child feels they owe him something — and stops telling anyone.
No child spots this. Very few adults spot it either.
But „no“ isn't a solution that holds. At some point I'm just the father who forbids everything — and then they do it behind my back.
My youngest won't ask for anything for years. But the internet it will grow into is being built right now. By someone. I'd rather we were among them.
That's why we're not building the children's space alone at a desk, but with the people who have to live with the result: parents.
See you in the round.— Marvin, father of three and founder of WeAreReal
Honest answers
What does this cost me?
Membership is your spot among the 25 — not two separate things. Sign-up and the human check are free, and you'll see the exact price before you confirm anything. But money alone isn't enough: we hand out the spots by fit, not by who pays first.
What age is Real Kids for?
We're starting with children between 6 and 14. If your children are younger or older, apply anyway — then we know about it, and questions exactly like this are the first thing we'll settle with you 25: where do the limits sit, and are there separate age tiers?
Does my child have to do the human check too?
Yes — that's the whole point. It's the only way to make sure the kids' space really contains only kids. The child account is tied to your verified parent account.
When does Real Kids launch?
It's being built right now — which is exactly why we're looking for you. We deliberately don't name a fixed date we can't keep. The 25 parents hear about every step first.
What if it turns out not to fit?
Then you say so and leave. No contract for taking part, no obligation, no hard feelings. Your spot then goes to a family on the waiting list.
Does my child have to take part from the start?
No. You can take part entirely on your own. Whether your child ever tests along is your decision — and theirs.
Is this a finished app already?
No, and we don't pretend otherwise. If you want something finished, wait for the official launch. If you want a say in how it gets finished, apply.
Our generation
was the experiment.
We got social networks.
Likes. Followers. Endless feeds.
Only years later did anyone ask what that does to children.
Our children shouldn't be the experiment again.
That's why Real Kids is being built.
With parents.
From the very start.
The internet doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to finally know who's moving around in it.
Become one of the first 25 families.
25, because co-creating only works in a group where every voice still counts. Not because scarcity sells.
